You're invited to join Icing Smiles and Nielsen-Massey Vanillas as we host our third Buttercream Ball in Chicago! This casually elegant evening full of cocktails, confections, entertainment and fun will have everyone talking!

We welcome you to join us on Saturday, November 11th at The James Hotel. Your ticket to this exciting event include a delicious selection of cocktails and confections, music and dancing, incredible food selections and a delectable assortment of some of the finest desserts that will make your mouth water! Network with some of the industry's best pastry masters and shop from a broad range of enticing items during our Silent Auction! There is always a little something for everyone!

Creativity will take center stage during our Domino Sugar "Showpiece Showdown" cake competition LIVE at the gala! Watch three of the industry's best bakers, each partnered with an Icing Smiles Super Hero kid, compete head to head for the crowd. This will be an event proven to be as delicious as it will be fun! Our first competitor is award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Scott Green! Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of California and that focus carries through to what he presents to guests on the plate. In addition to many awards and esteemed accomplishments, he is also the author and creator of Devil's Food Kitchen, a pastry and baking blog that shares recipes, techniques and trouble-shooting for amateurs and professionals alike. Our second contestant is Emily Easterly, a professional decorator at Wilton Cake Decorating, instructor at the Wilton School in Darien, Illinois, and an Icing Smiles Admin Team member. Our third contestant, Mark Lie, has appeared on Food Network's Cake Challenge-Awesome '80s cake episode, has competed on season three of Halloween Wars, and most recently, competed on the Premiere season of Halloween Wars – Hayride of Horror. Not only is Mark an amazingly talented artist, he also has a huge heart for Icing Smiles as a volunteer and esteemed Sugar Angel!
