Every donation helps me reach my goal for Icing Smiles! This current order is for a little boy who is clearly happy and cheerful despite being both non-verbal and non ambulatory. He almost didn't make it through the first few minutes of his life because his tongue was obstructing his airway and he was not breathing. Soon after his birth, he was diagnosed with Pierre Robin Sequence, a congenital cranio-facial malformation, and severe Ebstein's Anomaly, a very rare congenital heart defect. He also suffers from life threatening seizures. Most of the time when he's having an episode, he stops breathing and requires resuscitation. Luckily, over the last year his family and doctors have been able to better control the seizure events. Even though this little guy has so much to deal with on a daily basis, he somehow still manages to smile through it all. His laugh is infectious and his courage is admirable.
