Will you join me in helping to Bake a Difference for a family honoring their child who earned her wings due to a critical illness earlier this year?

I received a request through Icing Smiles to create a Birthday Memorial Cake for a young girl, from Norman, Oklahoma, who would have been celebrating her 16th birthday on 08/12/2017. Icing Smiles is a nonprofit organization that provides custom celebration cakes and other treats to families impacted by the critical illness of a child. Simple things, like a birthday cake, are luxuries to a family battling illness. It is Icing Smiles' goal to create a custom cake for an ill child, or their sibling, providing a temporary escape from worry, which creates a positive memory during a difficult time. I have had the privilege of working with Icing Smiles for the past few years. It's such a blessing to see the children's faces light up when they see the special cake created just for them.
