Christopher suffers from Morquio syndrome, which is a rare metabolic disorder in which the body cannot process certain types of mucopolysaccharides. This birth defect, which is autosomal recessive, is thus a lysosomal storage disorder that is usually inherited. Not only does Christopher suffer from this disease but he also has 2 siblings that also have the same disorder. Christopher along with his 2 siblings and mother and father just relocated from Florida to Delaware to be closer to A.I. Dupont hospital for kids in Wilmington. Help us not only support Christopher on his 18th birthday but support a program that touches so many children's lives as they reach very important milestones in life.
