Dear friends and family,
My family and I have been very fortunate with all that we have. In an effort to pay it forward and teach my sons by example about giving to others, I recently volunteered to make cakes for children facing life threatening illnesses and their siblings through the national non-profit Icing Smiles.
As luck would have it, I quickly got a call to make a dream cake for a young girl with a sibling battling a very serious illness. To help offset the expense of creating this cake, would you consider donating to my fundraising efforts? Everything I raise over $50 goes to expanding programming to give cakes to even more deserving kids. Coincidentally, the party is the day after my own birthday, so consider this my birthday present from you ;)
