I have been baking for Chronically ill kids through Icing Smiles for years. I have shared the stories with you here on FB, and every child I have baked for have broken my heart and made it smile at the same time. I love those kids and remember each and everyone of them, and I am so happy to help make their Birthdays brighter and see their huge smiles when they see their cakes. I have also never asked for sponsoring because it is MY way of helping and giving back and thanking God for giving me healthy children.
HOWEVER... it has been brought to my attention, that by asking my friends to sponsor, I am helping spread the word about Icing Smiles and the difference they make in those precious kids' life. AND by sponsoring, and donating money, we are helping them do more.
I have a new Cake request that I am working on right now, and can't wait to show you it next week when Gavin, 9 years old, picks it up.
